How far in advance do I need to book my appointment?
I am booked out three weeks at the moment so please plan accordingly.
What if I have to cancel my appointment?
Please make every effort to keep you scheduled appointment. If you have an emergency come up please try to contact me with a 24-48 hour notice.
Do I need to be home during the grooming appointment?
Yes, for the first appointment I do require you to be home. After your first appointment, if your pet is comfortable with me, different arrangements can be made.
How do I schedule an appointment?
To schedule an appointment you can call, email, or message me through Facebook.
What happens if Happy Dog needs to reschedule an appointment?
I do my best to always keep your appointments, but unforeseen incidents do arise such as family, mechanical issues, etc. I will reschedule your pet as soon as possible.
How long does it take to groom my pet?
Usually a grooming session will take about an hour depending on coat condition and behavior of the pet.
Why don't you groom double coated dogs?
I do not have the required equipment for these types of coats.
Do you groom cats?
No, sorry I do not.
Do you have a weight limit?
Yes, I can not take dogs over 90 lbs and any dog 50-90 lbs the owner must help get the dog in and out of the tub due to back issues that I have.
Can I stay with my pet during the grooming appointment?
No, my insurance requires that no one, but the groomer, be in the van.
How old does my puppy have to be for their first grooming?
Please get your puppy started on learning the grooming process as soon as all required shots are finished.
How often should I have my dog groomed?
I like to keep my clients on a schedule for your pet to receive optimal health benefits. A schedule will be discussed on your first appointment.
My dog is very matted, can you de-matt him/her?
I will do my best if it is tolerated. I believe grooming should be a pain free experience. Extra charges will incur if de-matting exceeds 10 minutes.
Why is mobile grooming so much more expensive than a shop?
You are paying for the convenience of a salon being brought to your doorstep, where your pet will receive one on one attention from me.
Do you need to hook up your van to my house for electricity and water?
No, my van is fully self-contained with its own electric and water.
Do you give multiple pet discounts?
No, I'm sorry I do not.
Do you have any type of discounts?
No, I do not at this time.
